Our great undoing is we often wait for evil day before we take action. This is a spiritual fatal dose. We should put on the whole armour daily, so that when Satan and his agents see us, they fright. If we don’t place the whole armour there will be places left open in our lives where the devil can come in to destroy us. What good is it, to lock all windows when the front door is left open?, or lock front door while windows are left open? There is danger doing so. When we put on the whole armour, things become easy. Battle is fought with ease; powers are conquered with ease; while recovery becomes simple.
With sound spiritual technique, we become strong against attacks. When evil comes against our marriage, we are strong. When evil comes against our career we become strong, when evil come against our children, it meets us strong. Why?, because we put on the whole armour of God.
God told us to fight; He provided us with the tools we would need to win the battle. The tools include, prayer, praises, sincerity of purpose, non-indulgence in sin, braveness, trust in the Lord etc. Hence, we need to use these tools for them to work. If we don’t have our armour on, we are easy prey for Satan.
One major instrument of grace in time of emergency is to ask for favour. When you seek and see the face of God, those who forsake and hate you will accept you. When God favours you, good doors shall open while enemies will turn to friends; dark arrows will melt, while joy will feel your heart. Divine favour makes you suck the milk of nations and build wealth. When God favours you, your story will suddenly change as gold shall replace silver in your life.
Emergency cry sometimes bring unmerited favour. It is when God answers you far above what you bargain for. It will be in the like of Isaiah 65:1 that says, “I reveal myself to those who did not ask for me, I was found by those who did not ask for me, I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name. I said, ‘here am I, here am I” This is special favour of God. He favours you without clamoring for it.

Emergency prayer can be likened to hunger of critical time. Hunger is a wonderful thing, it gives life. It is the body’s built in alarm that says, “It is time to eat”. Hunger is what makes you not to forget to eat; we might even starve to death.

We must get ready in time of emergency, either to still for a while and take action later, or out rightly take action now. In emergency, be ready to apply the Word. The Word you know helps a lot to diagnose challenges at hand. Apply the Word as reserves in the body.
In the physical, the body has plenty of reserves of food stored in the liver and elsewhere. We’re not in danger of starvation when the body needs food it gets ready for it. The sense of hunger gets things moving. Glands in the mouth begin to secrete saliva; the stomach gets juice ready and beginning to practice digestive movement. In all, when you feed in the Word all the time you become strong and stronger.
Protein is good for growth. To read and quote the Bible, encouraged by texts and promises from the Bible helps us for the movement. But for steady growth we need to read the context of those passages and realize that promises are made to specific people and types of people, and that they carry conditions. Scripture calls us to action and to change the priorities in our life. It is by meditating on these deeper realities of our faith that we begin to absorb protein from Bible study and then are able to grow.
In time of emergency let your appetite stimulate to the Word for a good taste. Let the spiritual saliva flow again for wonders in feeling as God’s Word become relevant to our felt need.
The book of Psalms 107:4-6 says “They wondered in the wilderness in a solitary way, they found no city to dwell in. hungry and thirsty their soul fainted in them. They cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distress” The children of Israel cried unto God in their trouble, meaning they face emergency need. In the midst of it, God answered them.
In the light of this, I pray, your distress shall be over. Whatever seems impossible for you shall be possible. The door of greatness, you think is close against you shall open by fire. Every scar in you shall turn to stars.
